“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
– Proverbs 31:25

Scripture has long portrayed women as strong and courageous. Society has often looked down upon them due to their soft nature. But it’s important to remember that God has created them in equal status—no weaker or inferior—with men.

When facing adversities, women should be reminded not to back down. For with faith and God, they are strong and able to overcome any difficulty. This is how faith provides strength to women suffering.

What Does God Say About Women’s Strength?

Women get little to no credit for the wonders they bring. Let’s face it. Without them, the world would cease to exist, for who else has the capacity to carry every individual in their wombs and face the life-altering event of giving birth?

A woman has carried Jesus to life, and even in the beginning of humanity, God has carefully created a woman to accompany man. Countless verses in the Bible show women’s strength through dire times, a move to constantly remind people of this fact. From Mary to Rebecca, the scriptures have carefully painted women as symbols of power, especially with how faith provides strength to her.

Women Are Weaker Vessels.

Women’s strengths are innately theirs. Although they’re created to be evidently weaker vessels compared to their masculine counterpart, this doesn’t automatically equate to weakness.

Women are weaker and more vulnerable than men, but there is a certain beauty and value behind this condition. Although women are made to be weaker vessels, this doesn’t mean they have no fortitude and power of their own, especially not when faith provides strength.

“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.”
– Psalm 46:5

God may have made women weaker, but He also doesn’t leave her side. God is always with them, especially when they need someone the most. He is there to give them strength to face another day.

How Faith Provides Strength to Women

According to Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Faith is a mighty weapon for everyone suffering. It gives them hope and reassurance that life will turn up right soon and that there will always be a rainbow after the rain.

Faith results from believing the good news that God is all-merciful and wishes good for humanity. This causes them to act even on things they haven’t experienced yet, believe in the promises stated in the Bible, and trust God even when situations seem futile. And how faith provides strength to women is through exactly similar notions.

Assurance

With faith, women are assured they aren’t alone, even when their struggles lead them to isolation. As mentioned, God is always with them. He is with them every step of the way, even in their darkest, most impossible moments. Even when their struggles seem insurmountable, God is with women.

This reassurance and constant yet inconspicuous guidance is how faith provides strength to women.

Trust

When women have faith, they’re able to overcome even the toughest challenges. Faith helps them trust in God and His mercy, believing He will take care of everything and lead them to salvation. This strong belief in Him restores not only their confidence in His guidance but also in themselves and their capacity. Faith improves how women go through life’s challenges.

Such can be read in So You Want to Be a First Lady by Tish Barnhardt, where the protagonist finds it deep in her to wholeheartedly trust that she will overcome obstacles in her life.

Comfort

Above everything else, faith provides strength to women, as shown by how comforted they are in going through these hardships. A profound belief in God comforts women by reminding them that He supports them. They are less likely to become intimidated by these challenges as they know, deep in their hearts, that God is with them every step of the way. Faith encourages women to commit to their creator and be strengthened even in what seems to be impossible.

A woman of faith can become an example to others, showing them how faith provides strength to women. A woman who gets her strength from God can’t be broken. Even if life throws them the toughest hurdles, they will hold on with the confidence that they will overcome them.

God is on women’s side, and women’s strength stems from the fact that He is with them.
